On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the Filipino community gathered at Beckwith Park for a heartwarming day of connection, culture, and celebration. With beautiful summer weather, our community came together to enjoy food, fun, and memorable moments.

The picnic was more than just a gathering—it felt like a reunion of family. From the moment attendees arrived, the air was filled with laughter, warm greetings, and the irresistible aroma of home-cooked Filipino dishes. Potluck tables proudly showcased our heritage with trays of lumpia, pancit, adobo, and other favorites, alongside refreshing drinks and sweet treats.

Children and adults alike enjoyed the splash pad, lively games, and cultural activities. Highlights included spontaneous singing and music, storytelling by elders, and younger generations forming new friendships—bridging generations through shared traditions.

As the day came to a close, hugs were exchanged, contact information shared, and plans made to meet again soon. The picnic celebrated the strength and warmth of the Filipino spirit—wherever we are, we carry with us bayanihan, the spirit of togetherness.

Maraming salamat to everyone who attended, shared their dishes, and helped make this gathering a true celebration of Filipino culture and unity.

This event was proudly made possible through the collaboration of BCHS, VFCA, VFCCA, and VFCSA.
