Most of us have been led here through forced migration. For Filipinos, it is not always a question of want, but of need—a need to build our futures, our families, and our lives under new skies.

That journey comes with adjustments and challenges as daunting as they are hopeful. Migration is a double-edged sword: while many of us would not have chosen to leave our homes, we carry comfort in knowing that wherever we land, there will always be kababayan to turn to.

Kaya huwag kang mangamba— kahit saan ka man sa mundo, there will always be a familiar face waiting for you. There will always be pieces of home. Kasama ka namin sa pag-angat at pagbagsak ng alon.

This show also serves as a 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 to establish a new Philippine Bayanihan Community Centre, which will better support the growing Filipino population in Victoria, BC, and across Canada.
